Asia Market Report December 4, 2006 NEC Down, Yahoo Japan, Cathay Pacific Up

Asian markets were narrowly mixed.

The Nikkei was down .1% to 16,304. Bridgestone was down .6% to 2485. Canon was down 1.2% to 6010. Daiwa Securities was up .4% to 1315. Fuji Flim was up 1.3% to 4690. Hitachi was down .7% to 680. Honda was down 1.5% to 3990. KDDI was up 1.5% to 796000. NEC was down 2% to 551. NTT was up .7% to 587000. Sharp was down .8% to 1928. Softbank was up .8% to 2485. Sony was down 1.5% to 4550. Toshiba was down .7% to 7440. Toyota was was down .3% to 6960. Yahoo Japan was up 2.9% to 46850.

The Hang Seng was up .1% to 18,703. Cathay Pacific was up 3.3% to18.24. China Mobile was down .8% to 63.3. China Unicom was up .7% to 8.58. HSBC was down .4% to 143.7. PCCW was flat at 4.8.

The KOSPI was down .6% to 1,426.

The Straits Times was up .2% to 2,842.

The Shanghai Composite was up 2.8% to 2,162.
