Apple Supplier Foxconn Attacked by Hacker Group (AAPL, DELL, IBM)

A hacker group called Swagg Security has gained access to internal servers at Chinese manufacturer Foxconn, a large supplier to Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL), Dell Inc. (NASDAQ: DELL), and IBM Corp. (NYSE: IBM) among others. The group apparently was able to gain access to mail server logins and passwords, as well as login information to several internal procurement sites and internal networks.

The attack appears to be linked to the well-publicized working conditions at Foxconn, according to a report at 9to5mac.com. Foxconn has shut down access to the affected servers, and it is still unknown if the hacker group was able to gain access to corporate data.
