Google last night announced new improvements to its Google TV YouTube application. Hardly the “big announcement” we were hoping for.

People who watch YouTube on TV will find clips easier to find. But, that number may be small. Google did not say otherwise.

Google’s move into hardware is inevitable now, even it TV is not the next platform. Its plans to buy Motorola Mobility (NYSE: MMI) are about to be approved by the EC and US, according to a number of media sources
