Honda Motor Company (NYSE: HMC) has a much larger portion of its business tied to car sales in America rather than ATV sales. Today’s news may not even be a blip financially for the company. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced that American Honda Motor Company, of Torrance, California is recalling the 2012 Honda FourTrax Rancher ATV models TRX420TE and TRX420TM. The recall is only about 2,900 units, but the recall notice is because a weld on the ATV’s front right upper suspension arm can separate. The risk is that the driver would lose control of the vehicle and could then crash. Shares are down 1.7% at $36.78, but the stock has been down the whole trading day.
