The 52-Week Low Club for Tuesday

October 13, 2014: Here are four stocks among the 371 equities making new 52-week lows today:

JA Solar Holdings Co. Ltd. (NASDAQ: JASO) dropped about 6.8% on Tuesday to a new 52-week low of $7.01 after closing at $7.52 on Mondday evening. Share volume is about double the daily average of around 2.3 million. The Chinese solar panel maker had no specific news today, but solar stocks have been in the doldrums recently.

King Digital Entertainment plc) dropped about 11% today to post a 52-week — and all-time — low of $10.69. The stock’s post-IPO high is $23.48 and shares are down about 36% since the game company’s March IPO. Bloomberg reported today that New Jersey is considering allowing social media games like Candy Crush to be added to casino slot machines in an effort to boost the state’s gambling revenue. Trading volume is more than 3-times higher than the daily average of around 1.6 million shares traded.

Las Vegas Sands Inc. (NYSE: LVS) sank to a new 52-week low on Tuesday of $58.00. Based on Monday night’s closing price of $58.96 that’s a drop of about 1.6%. The stock’s 52-week high is $88.28. Trading volume is about a equal to the daily average of around 5.8 million shares. The company’s stock was downgraded this morning at BofA to Neutral and the price target was lowered from $72 to $67.

National Bank of Greece SA (NYSE: NBG) posted a drop of about 5.3% today to a new all-time low of $2.52 against a high of $6.48. Volume is about 15% above the daily average of around 3.7 million shares. Last Friday’s vote of confidence in the government didn’t last produce much of a halo effect.
