October 22, 2014: Here are four stocks among the 44 equities making new 52-week lows today.
Boulder Brands Inc. (NASDAQ: BDBD) dropped about 32% today to post a new 52-week low of $8.72. The stock’s 52-week high is $18.46. The food products company announced weak preliminary results this morning. Trading volume is more than 15-times the daily average of around 560,000 shares traded.
Cree Inc. (NASDAQ: CREE) dropped about 17% on Wednesday to a new 52-week low of $27.47 after closing at $33.15 on Tuesday evening. Share volume is nearly 7-times the daily average of around 1.9 million. The LED lighting maker missed estimates when it reported earnings last night and shares were punished.
Lumber Liquidators Holdigs Inc. (NYSE: LL) posted a drop of nearly 15% today to post a new 52-week low of $49.10 against a 52-week high of $119.98. Volume is more than 5-times the daily average of around 920,000 shares. This is another stock that missed earnings estimates badly and is being punished for it.
Willbros Group Inc. (NYSE: WG) sank to a new 52-week low on Wednesday of $4.82. Based on Tuesday night’s closing price of $7.65 that’s a drop of about 37%. The stock’s 52-week high is $13.69. Trading volume is about 12-times the daily average of around 260,000 shares. The energy infrastructure company replaced its CEO after markets closed last night and said it would restate its second quarter 2014 results.
