June 4, 2015: Here are four stocks among the 59 equities making new 52-week lows today.

Chesapeake Energy Corp. (NYSE: CHK) dropped about 4.3% on Thursday to post a new 52-week low of $12.98 after closing at $13.56 on Wednesday. The stock’s 52-week high is $29.92. Share volume ran to more than 28 million shares, above the daily average of about 23 million shares traded. Today’s natural gas storage report showing an unexpectedly large increase to U.S. commercial inventories weighed down all natural gas producers.

Avon Products Inc. (NYSE: AVP) posted a new 52-week low on Thursday. Shares dropped about 2.3% to $6.34 from Wednesday’s closing price of $6.49. The stock’s 52-week high is $15.10. Volume totaled about 8 million shares, well below the daily average of around 14.7 million shares. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission said today that it is suing firms that allegedly made a false bid for the cosmetics company.

Windstream Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: WIN) dropped about 4.3% on Thursday to post a new 52-week low of $7.70 after closing at $8.05 on Wednesday. The stock’s 52-week high is $20.84. Share volume totaled around 5.2 million, below the daily average of around 8.6 million shares traded. The company had no specific news today.

Navistar International Corp. (NYSE: NAV) dropped about 10% on Thursday to post a new 52-week low of $24.38 against a 52-week high of $40.17. The stock closed at $27.08 on Wednesday night. Volume reached about more than 5 million shares, more than 6-times higher than the daily average of around 800,000 shares. The company posted a wider than expected quarterly loss this morning.
