June 1, 2016: Here are four stocks trading with relatively heavy volume among 18 equities making new 52-week lows in Wednesday’s session. NYSE advancers led decliners by about 2 to 1 while Nasdaq advancers led decliners by less than 2 to 1.
Under Armour Inc.Class C common shares (NYSE: UA-C) posted a new 52-week low on Wednesday. Shares traded at a low of $32.69, down about 6.7%, after closing at $34.97 on Tuesday. The stock is non-voting shares issued to shareholders by the company in early April in what was essentially a 2-for-1 stock split.. The company announced Tuesday that it will book charges for the second quarter and take a hit to annual revenue as a result of the bankruptcy liquidation of Sports Authority.
Daktronics Inc. (NASDAQ: DAKT) fell more than 18% on Wednesday to post a new 52-week low of $6.50 against a high of $12.35. The stock closed at $7.97 on Tuesday night. Volume was nearly 10 times the stock’s daily average of around 175,000. The maker of electronic display systems reported an unexpected Q4 loss Wednesday morning.
Lands’ End Inc. (NASDAQ: LE) dropped about 7.6% on Wednesday to post a new 52-week low of $15.49 against a 52-week high of $29.25. The stock closed at $16.77 on Tuesday night. Volume was about 6 times the stock’s daily average volume of around 190,000 shares. The apparel retailer posted a dismal quarterly report this morning.
Embraer SA (NYSE: ERJ) dropped by about 1.2% on Wednesday to post a new 52-week low at $20.56 after closing at $20.82 on Tuesday. The stock’s 52-week high is $32.50. Daily volume totaled about 30% below the average of around 1.3 million shares. The Brazilian aircraft maker shut down its China factory, ending business jet production in the country.
