Valeant Once More Makes Monday's 52-Week Low Club

June 20, 2016: Here are four stocks trading with relatively heavy volume among 20 equities making new 52-week lows in Monday’s session. NYSE advancers led decliners by 4 to 1 while Nasdaq advancers led decliners by about 3 to 1.

Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc. (NYSE: VRX) posted a new 52-week low on Monday. Shares traded at a low of $21.77, down about 1.2%, after closing at $22.04 on Friday. The stock’s 52-week high is $263.81. Volume was about 15% below daily average of around 35 million shares. The drug maker had no specific news Monday. The stock recovered and is on track to close with a gain of around 1.5% for the day.

Pure Storage Inc. (NYSE: PSTG) dropped about 1.5% on Monday to post a new 52-week low of $9.62 against a 52-week high of $20.60. Volume was about 80% above the daily average of around 1.6 million. The stock closed at $9.77 on Friday night. The company had no specific news, and the stock was on its way to the closing bell with a gain for the day of about 7.6%.

Jumei International Holding Ltd. (NYSE: JMEI) dropped by about 2.7% on Monday to post a new 52-week low at $4.25 after closing at $4.37 on Friday. The stock’s 52-week high is $24.10. Daily volume totaled around 1.2 million shares, roughly equal to the daily average of around 1.3 million. The online purveyor of beauty products in China had no specific news Monday and is on track to close trading up about 2.5% for the day..

Fibria Celulose Inc. (NYSE: FBR) fell by about 0.6% on Monday to post a new 52-week low of $7.74 against a high of $14.94. The stock closed at $7.79 on Friday night. Volume reached about 1.2 million shares, down about 20% from the stock’s daily average of around 1.6 million. The company had no specific news Monday.
