December 30, 2016: Here are four stocks trading with relatively heavy volume among 66 equities making new 52-week lows in Friday’s session. On the NYSE, decliners led advancers by about 3 to 2 and on the Nasdaq decliners led advancers by nearly 2 to 1. Total volume reached about 80% of the daily average.

Innocoll Holdings plc (NASDAQ: INNL) dropped about 67% on Friday to post a new 52-week low of $0.59 after closing at $1.77 on Thursday. The stock’s 52-week high is $12.94. Volume of nearly 7.4 million shares was around 80 times the daily average of about 90,000. The drug maker’s pain treatment received a refusal to file letter from the FDA.

Anthera Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ: ANTH) dropped about 9.9% on Friday to post a new 52-week low of $0.64 against a 52-week high of $4.90 and a Thursday close of $0.71. Volume of about 5.7million was more than 3 times the daily average of around 1.6 million. The company had no specific news Friday.

Peregrine Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ: PPHM) dropped about 9.3% Friday to post a new 52-week low of $0.29 after closing Thursday at $0.32. The 52-week high is $1.18. Volume of around 4.7 million was more than 3 times the daily average of around 1.5 million shares traded. The company had no specific news.

Plug Power Inc. (NASDAQ: PLUG) dropped about 3.3% on Friday to post a new 52-week low of $1.18 after closing at $1.22 on Thursday. The stock’s 52-week high is $2.28. Volume was about 15% higher than the daily average of around 3 million shares. The company had no specific news Friday.
