Top 7 Earnings Reports to Look For Tuesday

[cnxvideo id=”509735″ placement=”ros”]As January is coming to a close, the fourth-quarter earnings season is beginning to slow, but it’s not over yet. 24/7 Wall St. has put together a preview of some of the major companies reporting on Tuesday, including three Dow stocks. We have included the consensus earnings estimates from Thomson Reuters and the stock price and trading history, as well as added some additional color on each.

Be advised that the earnings and revenue estimates may change ahead of the formal reports, and some companies may change reporting dates as well.

Exxon Mobil Corp. (NYSE: XOM) reports its fourth-quarter earnings on Tuesday. The consensus estimates call for $0.70 in earnings per share (EPS) and $62.28 billion in revenue. In the same period of last year, the company posted EPS of $0.67 and $59.81 billion in revenue. Shares of Exxon were trading at $84.60 on Monday, with a consensus analyst price target of $88.83 and a 52-week trading range of $73.55 to $95.55.

Also scheduled to release its fourth-quarter financial results is Eli Lilly and Co. (NYSE: LLY). Analysts are forecasting $0.97 in EPS and $5.55 billion in revenue. The fourth quarter of last year had EPS of $0.78 and $5.38 billion in revenue. Shares of Eli Lilly were trading at $74.83, with a 52-week range of $64.18 to $83.79 and a consensus price target of $85.76.

When Mastercard Inc. (NYSE: MA) reports its most recent quarterly results, consensus estimates indicate it will post $0.86 in EPS and revenue of $2.79 billion. The same period of last year reportedly had $0.79 in EPS and $2.52 billion in revenue. Shares were last seen at $108.91. The consensus price target is $120.37, and the 52-week range is $78.52 to $111.07.

Pfizer Inc. (NYSE: PFE) is scheduled to report its fourth-quarter financial results. Analysts anticipate $0.50 in EPS and $13.64 billion in revenue. In the same period of last year, the pharma giant posted EPS of $0.53 and $14.05 billion in revenue. Shares of Pfizer were trading at $31.18, in a 52-week range of $28.25 to $37.39 and with a consensus price target of $37.52.

Watch for Under Armour Inc. (NYSE: UA) is to report its most recent quarterly results as well. The consensus estimates are $0.25 in EPS and revenue of $1.41 billion. Shares were last seen at $25.20. The consensus price target is $35.00, and the 52-week range is $23.51 to $46.53.

One of the most anticipated reports, fiscal first-quarter financial results, from Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL), are due after the markets close on Tuesday. The consensus estimates are calling for $3.22 in EPS and $77.38 billion in revenue. The same period of last year had $3.28 in EPS and revenue of $75.87 billion. Shares of Apple were trading at $121.21, with a consensus analyst target of $133.40 and a 52-week range of $89.47 to $122.44.

And United States Steel Corp. (NYSE: X) also reports on Tuesday afternoon. Analysts expect to see $0.01 in EPS and $2.65 billion in revenue, compared with a net loss of $0.23 per share and revenue of $2.57 billion in the year-ago period. U.S. Steel was trading at $32.41, within a 52-week range of $6.67 to $39.14. Its consensus price target is $33.47.
