Argos Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ: ARGS) dropped 72% Wednesday to post a new 52-week low of $1.25 after closing Tuesday at $4.40. The 52-week high is $13.97. Volume of about 6 million was nearly 30 times the daily average of less than 200,000. An independent trial monitoring company recommended that the company end a phase 3 trial of its kidney cancer drug.
Gulfport Energy Corp. (NASDAQ: GPOR) dropped about 3.1% on Wednesday to record a new 52-week low of $18.68. The stock closed at $19.28 on Tuesday. Volume was about 20% below the daily average of around 3.9 million shares. The company had no specific news Wednesday.
