Top Dow Earnings to Watch For This Coming Week

24/7 Wall St. has put together a preview of the Dow Jones Industrial Average companies scheduled to report their quarterly results this week. About one-third of the companies in the Dow are reporting this coming week. Although the Dow has backed off its highs, a strong earnings showing from these companies could be the push the index higher again.

We have included the consensus earnings estimates from Thomson Reuters, as well as the stock price and trading history.

Be advised that the earnings and revenue estimates may change ahead of the formal reports, and some companies may change reporting dates as well.

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (NYSE: GS) will share its most recent quarterly results on Tuesday. The consensus estimates call for earnings per share (EPS) of $5.17 and $8.53 billion in revenue. Shares closed before the Good Friday market holiday at $223.32, in a 52-week trading range of $138.20 to $255.15. The stock has a consensus analyst price target of $253.00.

International Business Machines Corp. (NYSE: IBM) is scheduled to reveal its first-quarter results on Tuesday. The consensus forecast calls for $2.35 in EPS, as well as $18.39 billion in revenue. Shares were trading at $169.53 on Thursday’s close. The consensus price target is $169.15. The stock has a 52-week trading range of $142.50 to $182.79.

Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ) is set to report its first-quarter results on Tuesday. The analysts’ consensus estimates call for EPS of $1.76 and $18.01 billion in revenue. Shares were changing hands at $124.99 on Thursday’s close. The consensus price target is $128.56, and the stock has a 52-week range of $109.32 to $129.00.

American Express Co. (NYSE: AXP) will share its latest quarterly earnings on Wednesday. The consensus estimates call for $1.28 in EPS and $7.73 billion in revenue. Shares ended last week at $75.80, in a 52-week range of $57.15 to $82.00. The stock has a consensus analyst target of $81.60.

Travelers Companies Inc. (NYSE: TRV) is set to report its first-quarter results on Thursday. The analysts’ consensus estimates are EPS of $2.40 and $6.32 billion in revenue. Shares of Travelers were changing hands at $120.53 as last week came to a close. The consensus price target is $122.33, and the stock has a 52-week range of $103.45 to $125.49.

Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE: VZ) is expected to share its latest quarterly earnings on Thursday. The consensus estimates call for $0.98 in EPS on $30.67 billion in revenue. Shares were at $48.62 on Thursday’s close, in a 52-week range of $46.01 to $56.95. The consensus price target is $51.82.

Visa Inc. (NYSE: V) is scheduled to reveal its fiscal second-quarter results on Thursday. The consensus estimates are $0.79 in EPS and $4.31 billion in revenue. Shares were trading at $88.87 as the week came to a close. The consensus price target is $98.17. The stock has a 52-week trading range of $73.25 to $92.05.

General Electric Co. (NYSE: GE) is set to report its first-quarter results on Friday. The analysts’ consensus estimates call for EPS of $0.17 and $26.4 billion in revenue. Shares of GE were changing hands at $29.56 on Thursday’s close. The consensus price target is $33.14, and the 52-week range is $28.19 to $33.00.
