Qualcomm, Viacom Dive into Tuesday’s 52-Week Low Club

September 5, 2017: Here are four stocks trading with heavy volume among 77 equities making new 52-week lows in Tuesday’s session. On the NYSE, decliners led advancers by nearly 3 to 1 and on the Nasdaq decliners led advancers by more than 2 to 1.

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA) dropped about 3.6% Tuesday to post a new 52-week low of $15.32 after closing Friday at $15.90. The 52-week high is $52.66. Volume of around 18 million shares traded was about 10% above the daily average. The company had no specific news.

Qualcomm Inc. (NASDAQ: QCOM) dropped about 4.3% Tuesday to register a new 52-week low of $49.83 after closing at $52.05 on Friday. The 52-week high is $71.62. Volume was around 14 million, about 50% above the daily average. The company’s appeal for a stay in a South Korean court case was denied.

Viacom Inc. (NASDAQ: VIAB) posted a new 52-week low of $27.22 on Tuesday, down about 4.6% from Friday’s closing price of $28.52. The stock’s 52-week high is $46.72. Volume totaled around 5.8 million shares, about 15% above the daily average. The company had no specific news.

Avon Products Inc. (NYSE: AVP) dropped about 2.9% Tuesday to post a new 52-week low of $2.40 after closing at $2.47 on Friday. The stock’s 52-week high is $6.96. Volume of around 4.5 million was about 25% below the daily average. The company had no specific news.
