January 2, 2018: Here are four stocks trading with heavy volume among 36 equities making new 52-week lows in Tuesday’s session. On the NYSE advancers led decliners by about 3 to 2 and on the Nasdaq, advancers and decliners by more than 2 to 1.

PPL Corp. (NYSE: PPL) dropped about 1.7% Tuesday to post a new 52-week low of $30.44 after closing at $30.95 on Friday. Volume was around 4.1 million about 10% below the daily average of around 4.6 million. The company had no specific news.

Windstream Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: WIN) slipped about 7.5% to post a new 52-week low of $1.14 Tuesday after closing at $1.85 on Friday. Volume of about 2.9 was about 20% below the daily average. The network company had no specific news.

Tesaro Inc. (NASDAQ: TSRO) traded down about 10% Tuesday and posted a new 52-week low of $74.57 after Friday at $82.87. The 52-week high is $192.94. Volume was about 2 million, more than double the daily average of around 870,000 million shares. The maker of cancer therapeutics had no specific news.

Edison International (NYSE: EIX) dropped about 1% Tuesday to post a 52-week low of $62.59 after closing at $63.24 on Friday. The 52-week high is $83.38. Volume was around 1.6 million, around 40% below the daily average of about 2.8 million. The utility company had no specific news.
