Meghan Markle’s Toronto Bungalow Will Soon Be on the Market

December 3, 2017 by Paul Ausick

Even if you don’t follow closely the adventures of Britain’s royal family, it’s pretty hard to miss the news when one of the royals makes a life-changing decision. That’s what we got last week.

Prince Harry, the younger son of the Prince of Wales and the late Princess Diana, and fifth in line to the British throne, announced that he and actress Meghan Markle will be married next spring.

Markle, who stars in the legal drama “Suits,” will give up her Toronto bungalow and move into somewhat more upscale digs with her new husband — Nottingham Cottage on the grounds of Kensington Palace. Here’s a link to a photo posted on Pinterest

According to London’s Daily Mail, Nottingham Cottage is “something of a starter home” for the newlywed royals. A two-bedroom house called “self-contained, cosy, and private” it is the smallest house on the palace grounds. Harry’s brother Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, and the Duchess (Kate Middleton) lived in the house before moving to larger quarters on the palace grounds which are adjacent to London’s Hyde Park.

So what about that Toronto bungalow? Markle has posted something like a zillion photos on Instagram including this one taken in February of 2016.

Realtor.com has culled a few more photos from Markle’s Instagram page showing off the interior of the bungalow populated with a lot of peonies and Markle’s two rescue dogs. The website notes Markle’s Southern California roots in the way she has decorated the Toronto home:

Every corner of her home, from the living room to the guest room, reflects a warm, coastal-chic style: an abundance of white and beige linens, reclaimed wood furniture, a banana leaf plant, and enough freshly cut peonies to keep a florist in business.

Visit Realtor.com for more photos and information. No date has been set for the home’s listing yet, so you still have a chance.
