The Nikkei was down .4% to 16,249. Nissan was down 1.1% to 1121. Yahoo Japan was down 2.9% to 38,650.
The Hang Seng fell .6% to 22,840. Cinha Uniicom (CHU) was up 2.7% to 13.76.
The Shanghai Composite rose 1.1% to 5,086.
