Teva, Kors Stagger into Tuesday’s 52-Week Low Club

February 7, 2017: Here are four stocks trading with relatively heavy volume among 58 equities making new 52-week lows in Tuesday’s session. On the NYSE, decliners led advancers by about 8 to 7 and on the Nasdaq decliners led advancers by about 4 to 3.

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA) dropped about 6.6% Tuesday, to post a new 52-week low of $32.09 after closing at $34.35 on Monday. The stock’s 52-week high is $59.35. Volume was about 3 times the daily average of around 10 million shares. The company’s CEO left abruptly this morning.

Sabre Corp. (NASDAQ: SABR) dropped about 13.7% Tuesday to post a new 52-week low of $21.42 after closing Monday at $24.81. The 52-week high is $29.76. Volume of nearly 20 million was about 8 times the daily average of around 2.5 million shares traded. The company’s earnings report was not what investors wanted to see, but may have been better than it looked.

Michael Kors Holdings Ltd. (NYSE: KORS) dropped more than 15% Tuesday, to post a new 52-week low of $34.92 after closing at $41.28 on Monday. The stock’s 52-week high is $59.49. Volume was about 8 times the daily average of around 2.6 million shares. The apparel retailer reported weak fourth-quarter sales and offered up a weak outlook.

comScore Inc. (NASDAQ: SCOR) dropped more than 10% on Tuesday to record a new 52-week low of $20.81. The stock closed at $23.22 on Monday. Volume was about 9 times the daily average of around 470,000 shares. The company’s stock will be de-listed from Nasdaq effective February 8 unless the company receives a stay from the exchange.
