June 27, 2017: Here are four stocks trading with heavy volume among 20 equities making new 52-week lows in Tuesday’s session. On the NYSE, decliners led advancers by about 2 to 1 and on the Nasdaq, decliners led advancers by about 9 to 5.

Marathon Oil Corp. (NYSE: MRO) dropped about 1.7% Tuesday to post a new 52-week  low of $11.33 after closing Monday at $11.53. The 52-week high is $19.28. Volume was nearly 50% higher than the daily average of about 13.7 million shares. The company had no specific news.

Alder Biopharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ: ALDR) posted a new 52-week low of $13.50on Tuesday, down nearly 28% compared with Monday’s closing price of $18.70. The stock’s 52-week high is $36.48. Volume totaled more than 12 million shares, about 12 times the daily average of around 720,000. The company reported that its migraine treatment reported a positive result, but investors were not impressed.

Anadarko Petroleum Co. (NYSE: APC) dropped about 2% Tuesday to post a new 52-week low of $44.03 after closing at $44.92 on Monday. The stock’s 52-week high is $77.33. Volume of about 6.4 million was about 30% above the daily average of 5.2 million. The company had no specific news.

Schlumberger Ltd. (NYSE: SLB) dropped about 1.2% Tuesday to post a new low of $65.13 after closing at $65.89 on Monday. Volume was around 5 million, about 50% below the daily average of around 7.5 million shares. The stock’s 52-week high is $87.84. The country’s largest oilfield services company had no specific news.
