Trivago, Dominion Energy Wander into Thursday’s 52-Week Low Club

April 5, 2018: Here are four stocks trading with heavy volume among 42 equities making new 52-week lows in Thursday’s session. On the NYSE advancers led decliners by about 7 to 3 and on the Nasdaq, advancers led decliners by about 9 to 5.

Globalstar Inc. (NASDAQ: GSAT) fell by about 3.6% Thursday to post a new 52-week low of $0.53 after closing at $0.55 on Wednesday. The 52-week high is $2.59. Volume of about 5.2 million was around 30% above the daily average. The company had no specific news and shares are on now track to post a gain of around 3% for the day.

Dominion Energy Inc. (NYSE: D) traded down about 0.9% Thursday to post a new 52-week low of $66.37 after closing Wednesday at $66.95. The stock’s 52-week high is $85.30. Volume was about 40% below the daily average of around 5 million shares. The company had no specific news. Shares have bounced back and are on track to close up about 0.8% the day.

Sibanye Gold Ltd. (NYSE: SBGL) traded down about 1.6% Thursday and posted a new 52-week low of $3.75 after closing Wednesday at $3.81. The stock’s 52-week high is $10.60. Volume totaled around 3 million, about 15% below the daily average. The company had no specific news. Another stock that has turned it around today and looks to close about 1% higher.

Trivago NV (NASDAQ: TRVG) dropped about 5% Thursday to post a new 52-week low of $6.17. Shares closed at $6.50 on Wednesday and the stock’s 52-week high is $24.27. Volume was nearly double the daily average of around 1.1 million shares. The company had no specific news.
