Coty, Avon Drop into Monday’s 52-Week Low Club

Coty Inc. (NYSE: COTY) fell about 1.4% Monday to post a new 52-week low of $12.92 after closing at $13.11 on Friday. The 52-week high is $21.68. Volume of about 9.6 million was about 75% higher than the daily average of about 5.3 million. The company had no specific news Monday, and shares reversed direction and are now on track to close up nearly 3%.
Avon Products Inc. (NYSE: AVP) traded down 10% Monday and posted a new 52-week low of $1.62 after closing Friday at $1.80. The stock’s 52-week high is $3.89. Volume totaled around 7.3 million, about 80% above the daily average of around 4.5 million. The company had no specific news Monday.
Versartis Inc. (NASDAQ: VSAR) traded down nearly 6.9% Monday to post a new 52-week low of $1.35 after closing Friday at $1.45. The stock’s 52-week high is $22.10. Volume was more than 20 times the daily average of around 350,000 shares. The company will merge with another biotech firm, Aravive. Shares reversed course and appear set to close up nearly 3.5%.
Jounce Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ: JNCE) dropped about 38% Monday to post a new 52-week low of $6.92. Shares closed at $11.23 on Friday and the stock’s 52-week high is $29.25. Volume of around 6.2 million shares was more than 10 times the daily average.The company’s cancer drug failed a trial.
