Pandora Chief Technology Officer Resigns

March 18, 2014 by Jon C. Ogg

Pandora Media Inc. (NYSE: P) is having yet another management change. This time around it is in the chief technology officer (CTO) role. Pandora has reported that Tom Conrad is stepping down from his role as CTO and Executive Vice President of Product after nearly 10 years at Pandora.

The company said that Chris Martin is being promoted to CTO as Tom Conrad’s replacement. Pandora further said that Steve Ginsberg has been promoted to chief information officer, effective immediately.

As part of the move, Pandora decided to create a new chief product officer role, and the company will launch a search to fill that position. Pandora said on the timing:

Mr. Conrad is expected to continue full-time for the next three months and then transition to a part-time role advising the Company’s leadership team.

Martin joined Pandora in 2004 and has been Vice President of Engineering. He will report to Brian McAndrews, Pandora’s chief executive officer, president and chairman. Ginsberg was most recently Vice President of Technical Operations and has been part of Pandora’s technical team since 2006.

Investors do not seem concerned so far. Pandora shares were down 0.5% at $34.91 in the first 10 minutes of trading.
