His current net worth is estimated at $9.7 billion, the most of any person in Oklahoma.

Oregon: Phil Knight and family

Phil Knight is Oregon’s wealthiest resident. Knight and his former University of Oregon track coach founded the company that would become footwear behemoth Nike. Today, Nike is one of the largest employers in Oregon. Knight is also one of the state’s biggest philanthropists, having given more than $1.5 billion to the University of Oregon and Oregon Health & Science University.
