This Celebrity’s Home Is For Sale For $85 Million

Home prices have increased significantly in 2020, with the median home value spiking to $265,000, up $30,000 from 2019. Even at the higher end of the housing market prices have skyrocketed, and some wealthy homeowners are taking advantage of the sky high prices. Just since the beginning of 2021, a number of celebrities have put up their mansions, chateaus, and ski lodges up for sale, often asking tens of millions of dollars.

In terms of celebrity real estate, no one can top Hollywood legend Sylvester Stallone. The A-list actor put his Beverly Hills mansion on the market in May 2021, asking a whopping $85 million for the property.

To find the most expensive celebrity homes for sale, 24/7 Wall St. reviewed data from realtor.com. Only homes listed for sale by celebrities in 2021 were considered.

Built to his specifications in 1994, Sly’s estate sits on nearly 3.5 acres of land, with stunning views of Los Angeles. It features eight bedrooms, nine full bathrooms, and three half bathrooms, as well as a two-story guest house.

The home is decked out with dozens of unique features, such as a home theater, a cigar room, a custom bar, a sauna, a steam room, a terraced office, and a gym fit for an action movie star like Stallone.

12. Pamela Anderson
> Home listing price: $14.9 million
> Location: Malibu, California
> When it was listed: March 2021

Pamela Anderson made a splash in March of 2021 when she listed her Malibu mansion for sale after owning the abode for more than two decades. With a list price of $14.9 million, it is one of the 12 most expensive celebrity home listings of 2021. The “Baywatch” star told the New York Post that she and her husband were moving from their Malibu home in favor of their ranch located on Vancouver Island in Canada.

Anderson initially purchased the home in 2000 for just $1.8 million. She helped design the home, which is 5,500-square-feet and features four bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, a fire pit, roof deck, and more.

11. Jerry Seinfeld
> Home listing price: $15 million
> Location: Telluride, CO
> When it was listed: April 2021

Legendary comedian and sitcom star Jerry Seinfeld listed his Telluride, Colorado, home in April of 2021 for just a shade under $15 million. The home is described on realtor.com as a “12,260-square-foot rustic lodge,” which includes 11 bedrooms, 11 full bathrooms, and three half bathrooms. It also has a stone fireplace and mountain views.

Seinfeld and his wife, cookbook author Jessica Seinfeld, have listed this location before. In 2011, the home was on the market with an asking price of $18.3 million, but it was removed from the market several months later.

10. Jimmy Fallon

> Location: Manhattan, New York
> When it was listed: March 2021

“Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon is selling his New York City apartment for $15 million. The home, according to realtor.com, actually used to be several separate apartments, but Fallon and his family had them all converted into one apartment. Located in the Gramercy Park neighborhood of Manhattan, the three-level living space is nearly 5,000 square feet.

The “Saturday Night Live” alum had been shooting “The Tonight Show” from his home in Long Island because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and Fallon has reportedly decided to live there full-time and commute into the city.

9. Dave Ramsey
> Home listing price: $15.45 million
> Location: Franklin, Tennessee
> When it was listed: February 2021

Dave Ramsey is a radio host, podcaster, and best-selling author, teaching people how to manage their money. Ramsey is asking $15.45 million for his Franklin, Tennessee, home — nearly 10 times what he initially paid for the property in 2008. He has since added surrounding acreage to the property, bringing the property’s total area to over 14 acres.

Ramsey’s home itself is a 13,517-square-foot abode in the style of a French chateau. Reportedly, the chateau features six bedrooms, nine bathrooms, three staircases, five fireplaces, and an elevator. Additionally, the outdoor area has 6,000 square feet of covered porches, and an eight-car garage.

8. Jon Bon Jovi
> Home listing price: $20 million
> Location: Red Bank, New Jersey
> When it was listed: February 2021

Rocker Jon Bon Jovi put his home up for sale with an asking price of $20 million in February 2021. Located in Red Bank, New Jersey, along the shores of the Navesink River, Bon Jovi’s chateau-style mansion is 18,000 square feet and sits on 15 acres of land.

Known as ”High Point Estate,” the listing describes Bon Jovi’s mansion as having “exceptional materials, museum quality craftsmanship and superb attention to detail.” It features six bedrooms, a movie theater, a 50-foot living room, a dining room that seats up to 18, and an adjoining bar that offers views of the river.

7. LeBron James
> Home listing price: $20.5 million
> Location: Brentwood, California
> When it was listed: March 2021

Basketball superstar LeBron James is selling his Brentwood, California, home. As of March 2021, James was asking $20.5 million for the property, slightly less than what he bought it for in 2015. The home is 9,440 square feet, with six bedrooms and eight bathrooms. It also includes amenities like a pool, library, sitting room, terrace, and, yes, a basketball hoop.

The home became infamous among basketball fans years ago, when James’ purchase of the sprawling mansion fueled speculation that he would be leaving his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers for the Los Angeles Lakers — speculation that proved accurate. Yet Lakers fans shouldn’t feel too worried about this home sale, as James reportedly owns several properties in the area.

6. Matt Damon

> Location: Los Angeles, California
> When it was listed: January 2021

Actor and Academy Award-winning filmmaker Matt Damon listed his home for sale in January 2021. The mansion is located in the luxurious Los Angeles neighborhood of Pacific Palisades and boasts a footprint of 13,508 square feet. The estate features seven bedrooms, 8.5 bathrooms, and it sits on a lot of over half an acre.

Damon’s home comes with all the amenities you would expect from an A-list actor: vaulted ceilings, a decked-out gym, a wine-tasting room that can fit over 1,000 bottles, media and game rooms, and a private terrace.

5. J.J. Abrams

> Location: Los Angeles, California
> When it was listed: May 2021

Director J.J. Abrams recently listed his home in the Pacific Palisades, asking $22 million for the property. The estate reportedly features both city and ocean views, though it is both walled and gated. The home clocks in at just under 7,400 square feet with five bedrooms and seven bathrooms.

If Abrams can get an offer close to the asking price, it will have been a terrific investment — he and his wife snagged the property in 2014 for less than $14.5 million. Abrams is known for directing films in the recent Star Wars and Star Trek franchises, creating the series “Lost,” and many other projects.

4. Tom Cruise
> Home listing price: $39.5 million
> Location: Telluride, Colorado
> When it was listed: March 2021

Movie star Tom Cruise is trying to offload his ranch in Telluride, Colorado, with an asking price of nearly $40 million. Cruise tested the market with this same property in 2014, asking $59 million for it. The home is reportedly ideal for the outdoorsy types, providing access to mountains for skiing and snowboarding in the winter as well as hiking and horseback riding when it is warmer. The 11,512 square-foot home has seven bedrooms, 7.5 bathrooms, and a three-bedroom guest lodge.

Cruise likely won’t have much time to spend at the ranch any time soon. The long-awaited sequel “Top Gun: Maverick” is slated to hit theaters in 2021, and he is reportedly in the process of shooting the seventh and eighth installments of his mega-successful Mission: Impossible franchise slated to hit theaters in 2022 and 2023, respectively.

3. Sugar Ray Leonard

Famed boxer Sugar Ray Leonard recently put his palatial estate in the Westside neighborhood of Los Angeles up for sale. As of June 2021, Leonard was asking $46.5 million for the home, which boasts seven bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, and 16,773 square feet of floor space.

The Leonard Estate, as the mansion is now known, sits on 1.7 acres, with much of the grounds featuring fountains, statues, gardens, and lawns. As you may expect from a legendary sportsman, Leonard’s home features athletics amenities like a tennis court with viewing area, an oval pool, and a putting green.

2. Ellen DeGeneres

> Location: Beverly Hills, California
> When it was listed: March 2021

Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres is selling her lavish Beverly Hills mansion, asking $53.5 million for the estate that was once owned by Maroon 5’s Adam Levine. The home, which was first built in 1933, has undergone extensive renovations in recent years.

The home sits on over an acre of land and features a guesthouse, multiple patios, decks, and private outdoor dining and conversation areas, one with a fire pit. It also features an outdoor kitchen with a pizza oven and barbecue.

Stallone has lived in the estate since 1994, after buying the land and having the home built to his own specifications. The estate has eight bedrooms, nine full bathrooms, and three half bathrooms.
