E-Commerce Sales Rise As Buyers Flee Stores

No wonder Wal-Mart (WMT) has poor same-store sales and Circuit City (CC) is close to Chapter 11. All of the customers are moving online.

According to the new comScore stats, online retail sales moved up 23% in the third quarter to $28.4 billion.

Nintendo Wii sales helped pull dollars to internet retail sites. Video game and console revenue moved up 199%. Toy sales were up 57%. The Chinese will be glad to hear that.
