Samsung announced its most recently quarterly results, and with them news that sales of its new Galaxy S7 have gotten off to a strong start.
At about the same time as Apple released the new iPhone SE four-inch version, Consumer Reports named the brand new Samsung Galaxy S7 as its number one smartphone choice.
Consumers may well be troubled by a smaller, cheaper iPhone from Apple, which has a reputation for only building and marketing the best of the best.
The release of the Galaxy S7 has not dented Apple's share price. As a matter of fact, it is up almost 10% over the past month.
What makes a "better" smartphone? The four carriers will determine that. Apple has cut them out of the upgrade cycle.
