Today’s Market Winners and Losers

The stock market is up Thursday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 0.15%, the Nasdaq up 0.53% and the S&P 500 up 0.18%. Today’s winners include an asset management firm getting bought out and a technology company partnering with a large telecommunication company. Today’s loser is a drug maker who is recalling one of its supplements.

These are Thurday’s winners and loser.

Biggest Winners

Shares of Epoch Investment Partners, Inc. (NASDAQ: EPHC) are up 26.61% to $27.74 on trading volume of 3.2 million shares. Toronto-Dominion Bank is buying the asset management firm for $668 million in cash. The 52-week high is $27.87.

Shares of Akami Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKAM) are up 10.35% to $39.17 on trading volume of 3.6 million shares. The company will partner with AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) on content delivery network services.  The 52-week is $40.32.

Biggest Loser

Shares of Lifevantage Corporation (NASDAQ: LFVN) are down 22.44% to $1.94 on trading volume of 1.6 million shares. The company announced a voluntary recall of its Protandim dietary supplement due to health concerns.  The 52-week low is $1.28.
