Volume of around 6.1 million was nearly 20 times the daily average of around 340,000. The oilfield services company had no specific news. The company split its stock in late July in a 1-for-135 transaction.

Great Basin Scientific Inc. (NASDAQ: GBSN) dropped about 15% on Thursday to post a new 52-week low of $2.90 after closing at $3.42 on Wednesday. The stock’s 52-week high is $45,024.00.
