Eldorado Gold, DBV Technologies Crash into Monday’s 52-Week Low Club
October 23, 2017 by Paul AusickOctober 23, 2017: Here are four stocks trading with heavy volume among 79 equities making new 52-week lows in Monday’s session. On the NYSE, decliners led advancers by about 2 to 1 and on the Nasdaq decliners led advancers by a slightly larger ratio.
Weatherford International plc (NYSE: WFT) dropped about 7.9% Monday to post a new 52-week low of $3.26 after closing at $3.54 on Friday. The 52-week high is $7.09. Volume was around 38 million, more than double the daily average of about 16 million. The company had no specific news.
Eldorado Gold Corp. (NYSE: EGO) dropped nearly 29% Monday to post a new 52-week low of $1.55 after closing at $2.17 on Friday. The 52-week high is $3.91. Volume was around 32 million, more than five times the daily average. The gold miner updated its Kisladag operations in Turkey — not for the better.
DBV Technologies SA (NASDAQ: DBVT) dropped about 53.5% Monday to post a new 52-week low of $22.33 after closing at $48.07 on Friday. The stock’s 52-week high is $50.57. Volume of around 12 million was about 60 times the daily average. The French drug maker’s peanut allergy treatment failed a phase 3 study.
Kinder Morgan Inc. (NYSE: KMI) posted a new 52-week low of $18.04 on Monday, down about 2.1% from Friday’s closing price of $18.42. The stock’s 52-week high is $23.01. Volume totaled around 10 million shares, less than 10% above the daily average. JPMorgan downgraded the stock from Neutral to Underperform last Friday and the effect carried over through today.
