The Nikkei fell 2.2% to 16,871.Sony (SNE) fell 2.9% to 6130. Toyota (TM) fell 1.4% to 7100.
The Hang Seng was off 2.7% to 22,568. China Mobile (CHL) was down 3.9% to 87.6. China Petroleum
(SNP) was down 3.1% to 8.91.HSBC (HBC) was down 1.4 to 142.3.
The Shanghaim Composit was down 3.8% to 4,301.
