February 2, 2018: Here are four stocks trading with heavy volume among 241 equities making new 52-week lows in Friday’s session. On the NYSE decliners led advancers by about 9 to 1 and on the Nasdaq, decliners led advancers by more than 6 to 1.

General Electric Co. (NYSE: GE) fell about 2.6% Friday to post a new 52-week low of $15.60 after closing at $16.02 on Thursday. The 52-week high is $30.59. Volume of about 66 million was about 25% below the daily average of around 88 million shares traded. The company had no specific news.

Chesapeake Energy Corp. (NYSE: CHK) dropped about 4.6% Friday to match a 52-week low of $3.30 after closing at $3.46 on Thursday. The stock’s 52-week high is $6.65. Volume was around 35 million, about 25% above the daily average of around 28.8 million. The company had no specific news.

Southwestern Energy Co. (NYSE: SWN) traded down about 5.2% Friday and posted a new 52-week low of $4.00 after closing Thursday at $4.22. The stock’s 52-week high is $9.75. Volume was around 21 million, about 10% below the daily average of around 23 million shares. The company had no specific news.

Impinj Inc. (NASDAQ: PI) traded down about 47% Friday and posted a new 52-week low of $12.04 after closing Thursday at $22.86. The stock’s 52-week high is $60.85. Volume was nearly 11 million, more than 15 times the daily average of about 706,000 shares. The company warned on revenues late yesterday.
