Align Technology reported Q2 2026 earnings per share of $2.64, topping the $2.60 consensus estimate by roughly 1.7%. Revenue came in at $1.056 billion, just edging past expectations. The headline numbers were driven by record clear aligner shipments of 691.8K cases, a 7.4% increase from the same quarter a year ago, with double-digit growth in both the Asia-Pacific and EMEA regions leading the charge.
Not everything broke cleanly in Align's favor. A $37.5 million UK VAT liability and softer capital equipment sales created drag on GAAP results. Higher pricing per case and improved operating leverage were enough to absorb those headwinds and still clear the bar analysts had set. Management used the report to guide toward full-year margin expansion, with a target of more than 100 basis points of improvement in 2027.
