Kinross Gold reported Q2 2026 earnings per share of $0.71, clearing the consensus estimate of roughly $0.66 by about 8%. The result was powered by a 37% year-over-year surge in gold prices to $4,483 per ounce, which fattened margins enough to generate $726 million in free cash flow even as production slipped 4% compared with the prior-year period.

Revenue came in at $2.24 billion, which fell about 2% short of the $2.29 billion analysts had expected — the one soft spot in an otherwise strong report. The earnings beat continues a pattern of outperformance: Kinross has topped EPS estimates in five of the last six quarters, with the lone miss coming in Q4 2024 when it reported $0.19 against a $0.25 estimate.
