Rhythm Pharmaceuticals posted Q2 2026 revenue of $71.3 million, about 5% ahead of the $67.7 million consensus estimate, with U.S. product revenue from IMCIVREE alone reaching $51 million. The loss per share came in at $0.73, beating the estimated loss of $0.83 by roughly 12%. The quarter marks one of the company's cleaner beats in recent history — the prior four quarters produced a mix of beats and misses, including a notable EPS miss in Q2 2025 when the reported loss of $0.75 ran past the $0.67 estimate.
The outperformance was driven by IMCIVREE's launch in acquired hypothalamic obesity, a newer indication that is gaining traction faster than analysts had modeled. That commercial momentum is the core story here: the drug is finding patients in a condition that had previously lacked approved treatment options, and uptake appears to be accelerating.

Looking ahead, Rhythm is targeting a Japan launch for IMCIVREE by year-end, with European rollouts expected to follow in 2027. Those milestones will be closely watched as the company tries to demonstrate that the strong U.S. trajectory can translate internationally, even as it continues to operate at a per-share loss.
