About Chicago Atlantic BDC

Chicago Atlantic BDC, Inc. (NASDAQ: LIEN) is a specialty finance company regulated as a business development company under the Investment Company Act of 1940 and treated as a regulated investment company for U.S. federal income tax purposes. The company's investment objective is to maximize risk-adjusted returns on equity for stockholders by investing primarily in direct, senior-secured first lien loans to privately held middle-market companies, with a primary focus on cannabis companies. The company is externally managed by Chicago Atlantic BDC Advisers, LLC, an SEC-registered investment adviser and majority-owned subsidiary of Chicago Atlantic Group, LP, which has over $2.3 billion in capital under management and has closed over $3.8 billion in loans since platform inception. The portfolio spans 40 companies with 76% cannabis exposure and 24% non-cannabis across industries including information, retail trade, finance and insurance, real estate, manufacturing, and educational services. All current debt investments are senior secured, with 85% of loans internally agented. The company targets underserved sectors where traditional banks generally do not lend, enabling premium pricing, attractive collateral, and lender-friendly covenants. Investment sub-strategies include cannabis lending, growth and technology finance, esoteric and asset-based lending, and liquidity solutions for companies pursuing mergers, acquisitions, or refinancings.
