About GGLBP

Alphabet Inc. is the holding company for Google and a collection of other businesses. It reports three segments: Google Services, Google Cloud and Other Bets.

Google Services covers ads, Android, Chrome, consumer devices, Google Maps, Google Play, Search and YouTube. It earns revenue mainly from advertising (Google Search & other, YouTube ads and Google Network). It also earns from consumer subscriptions such as YouTube TV, YouTube Music and Premium, NFL Sunday Ticket and Google One, from app and in-app purchases, and from consumer devices.

Google Cloud sells infrastructure and platform services, applications and other enterprise products. Its revenue comes from consumption-based fees and subscriptions for Google Cloud Platform and Google Workspace, and increasingly from product sales of its TPU AI accelerator systems. Demand for enterprise AI infrastructure and AI solutions is now its primary growth engine.

Other Bets generates revenue mainly from autonomous transportation services and internet services.

Alphabet also funds shared AI research centrally, including its Gemini family of models and the Gemini app. It is investing heavily in technical infrastructure and funds part of that build-out through debt, at-the-market equity issuance and mandatory convertible preferred stock, while paying quarterly common dividends. Google Cloud revenue doubled, up 103% year over year on AI infrastructure and TPU sales, which is what matters for investors here. The EPS miss came from an $8.7 billion loss on equity securities, and quarterly capex of $51.4 billion pushed free cash flow negative. Keep an eye on the stock as the call gets underway.

Mad Money w/ Jim Cramer 9/21/26

  • Retrospective on Tim Cook's Apple tenure, which ended September 1, 2026, built from a decade of Cramer interviews
  • Cramer's original thesis: Apple as the future health company and the future credit card company
  • Cook cited 11,000 ResearchKit signups in 24 hours for a Stanford cardiovascular study
  • Cramer framed Apple Pay as pushing retailers and card networks toward adoption

With Cook out of the CEO chair as of September 1, the case for Apple built on services, health data and payments now belongs to someone else to defend. Cramer's replay is a reminder that the growth story he backed for a decade rested on those businesses.

Alphabet lifted its quarterly payout 4.8% to $0.22, its second raise in the two years since it started paying at all. A company spending heavily on AI infrastructure is still committing more cash to shareholders.

Dividend raised$0.22ex-date 2026-09-04 · 0.32% yield · 12 yrs paying · +4.8% YoY

Alphabet lifted its quarterly payout 4.8% a share, a raise that signals AI capex is not crowding out cash returns. Owners buying today lock in the base of a dividend still early in its growth curve.
