Two Harbors Investment Corp is a real estate investment trust (REIT) based in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. Specializing in managing and financing mortgage servicing rights, residential mortgage-backed securities, and other financial assets, it focuses on investments that include a variety of mortgage loans and derivatives. As a REIT, it is required to distribute at least 90% of its taxable income to shareholders annually, a practice that supports investor returns. Founded in 2009, Two Harbors is known for its expertise in the mortgage finance sector.
