Markets in Asia were up.
The Nikkei rose .7% to 16,371. Bridgestone was up 3.4% to 2550. Canon was up 1.2% to 6150. Daiwa Securities was up 2.4% to 1335. Fuji Film was up .2% to 4740. Hitachi was up 1.3% to 682. Honda was up 1% to 4020. KDDI was down 1.6% to 782000. NEC was up 1.1% to 554. NTT was up .3% to 585000. Sharp was up 1.9% to 1846. Softbank was up 1.6% to 2485. Sony was up 1.5% to 4380. Toshiba was down .5% to 739. Toyota was up 1% to 6980. Yahoo Japan was up .4% to 47050.
The Hang Seng was up .4% to 19.026. Cathay Pacific was down .2% to 18.8. China Mobile was up 1.3% to 64.6. China Netcom was up 6.2% to 17.16. HSBC was down 1.7% to 142.1. PCCW was up .8% to 4.85.
The KOSPI was dwon .5% to 1,414.
The Straits Times was down .2% to 2,895.
The Shanghai Composite was down .8% to 2,157.
