Markets in Asia were broadly higher.
The Nikkei rose 1.2% to 17,047. KDDI was down 2.3% to 845000. NEC (NIPNY) was up 2.8% to 570. Sony (SNE) was up 4.2% to 5890.
The Hang Seng rose 3.8% to 28,178. China Life (LFC) rose 7.5% to 48.05. China Mobile (CHL) rose 5.3% to 134.1 China Petroleum (SNP) rose 3.2% to 10.02.
Shanghai was closed for a holiday.
