Next Week's Top Earnings on Deck (CIEN, URBN, AIB, DMND, DYN, FNSR, AEO, MCP, CWTR, FMCN, ARO, CLNE, NSM)

American Eagle Outfitters Inc. (NYSE: AEO) reports Wednesday morning and Thomson Reuters has estimates of $0.43 EPS and $923.01 million in revenues; estimates ahead for the current quarter are $0.17 EPS and $636.1 million in revenues.  Shares closed at $15.41 on Friday versus a 2010-end close of $14.63.

Molycorp, Inc. (NYSE: MCP) is due on Wednesday for earnings and it is going to have some mixed fanfare.  The company has great promise, but it will have losses as its revenues are not expected to start kicking in for the most part until late 2011 and into next year for its growth.  We don’t need to tell you how high it has risen due to the “Rare Earth” trade.  Valuation is very high and it recently had a huge offering that saturated the free float of shares.

Coldwater Creek    Inc. (NASDAQ: CWTR) is due after the close on Wednesday.  It will not move the market at all, but this one has been hit hard as it tries to find its footing.  Thomson Reuters has estimates of -$0.26 EPS and $282.75 million revenues; estimates ahead for the current quarter are -$0.05 EPS and $238.05 million in revenues.  Shares closed at $2.90 on Friday versus a 52-week trading range of $2.71 to $8.75.

Focus Media Holding Ltd. (NASDAQ: FMCN) is due Wednesday morning and offers good insight to the Chinese media and advertising market.  Thomson Reuters has estimates of $0.37 EPS and $142.46 million in revenues; estimates ahead for the current quarter are $0.22 EPS and $114.2 million in revenues.  Shares closed at $27.50 on Friday versus a 2010-end close of $21.93 and the 52-week trading range is $14.36 to $28.15.

Aeropostale, Inc. (NYSE: ARO) is due Thursday after the close and the retailer has not really come back strong with the market after last summer’s earnings disappointment caused a blow-up that sent shares from over $30 to under $22 before the dust settled. Thomson Reuters has estimates of $0.97 EPS and $838.22 million in revenues; estimates ahead for the current quarter are $0.43 EPS and $479.58 million in revenues.  Shares closed at $25.57 on Friday versus a 2010-end close of $24.64 and the 52-week trading range is $21.26 to $32.24.

Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (NASDAQ: CLNE) is due Thursday after the close.  Again, no market mover here.  It is one that traders and alternative energy players like to follow because it is T. Boone Pickens’ natural gas fuel for trucks play.  Thomson Reuters has estimates of $0.00 EPS and $67.62 million in revenues; estimates ahead for the current quarter are -$0.01 EPS and $67.28 million in revenues.  Shares closed at $13.65 on Friday versus a 2010-end close of $13.84 and the 52-week trading range is $11.75 to $23.70.  This remains a long-term rather than near-term story and more capital (and more friendly energy policies per The Pickens Plan) are required for it to achieve its plans.

National Semiconductor Corporation (NYSE: NSM) is due with its earnings after the close on Thursday.  Another late-cycle earnings season tech company… Thomson Reuters has estimates of $0.24 EPS and $353.96 million in revenues; estimates ahead for the current quarter are $0.27 EPS and $368.37 million in revenues.  Shares closed at $15.51 on Friday versus a 2010-end close of $13.76 and the 52-week trading range is $11.84 to $16.00.
