The Conference Board’s report on October’s Leading Economic Indicators showed a better than expect gain of 0.9%. September’s indicator was revised to +0.1% from +0.2%. Dow Jones was only looking for a gain of 0.6% in October. The economist at the Conference Board noted that the index is pointing to continued growth this winter and possibly even gaining momentum into spring.
