H-P Earnings: When Poor Is Good Enough (HPQ)

Hewlett-Packard Co. (NYSE: HPQ) has reported its fourth quarter earnings and we have this listed against Thomson Reuters estimates:

  • Q4 non-GAAP at $1.17 EPS and $32.3 billion in sales vs. estimates of $1.13 EPS and $32.05 billion in sales;
  • Next quarter at $0.83 to $0.86 EPS and 2012 full year of “at least $4.00 EPS… estimates are $1.11 EPS next quarter and $4.56 EPS for next year.

Shares closed down 4% ahead of the report at $26.86 after a $27.00 close on Friday.  In the after hours session, H-P shares are back up around $27.75.
