Share in both Europe and Asia rose. Part of the cause is a belief that China will increase liquidity in its economy to offset a slowdown in GDP growth. The other cause is an earnings report from Alcoa that was mediocre, but slightly better than expected
The Shanghai Composite surged 2.7% to 2,285.74. The Hang Seng was up .7% to 19,004.78.
In Europe, the DAX is higher by 2.57% to 6,170. The FTSE 100 is up 1.18% to 5,679
It appears Europe is willing to ignore the sovereign debt crisis–at least for today
