WebMD, Health Management, Liz Claiborne Continue Sell Off

Shares of WebMD (NASDAQ: WBMD), Health Management Associates (NYSE: HMA), and Liz Claiborne (NYSE: LIZ) continued to sell down sharply

WebMD’s store dropped as the firm’s CEO resigned and the board said it would cease its work to find a buyer for the company. The stock was down 28% to $26.42.

Health Management was down 22% to $5.40 as it general counsel left. The company faces a charge of overbilling for Medicare charges.

Liz Claiborne (NYSE: LIZ) sold down 14% to $8.55. The firm said its CFO would leave. It also adjusted guidance for 2012 down to a level of $125 million to $140 million. Previously, it had set guidance between $130 million and $150 million
