After the first half-hour of trading, BioLineRx is up nearly 75% at $5.68, after posting a new 52-week high of $5.82 earlier. Volume is about 300x the daily average of about 3,600 shares traded.The biopharmaceutical company has signed an exclusive worldwide licensing agreement with a French company to develop and market its hepatitis C drug.
Lee Enterprises is up nearly 25% at $1.37. Volume is already more than 3x the daily average of 277,000 shares traded. The newspaper company has been granted permission to exit bankruptcy protection.
Polycom is up nearly 15% at $21.11. Volume is already higher than the average daily volume of 2.7 million shares traded. The videoconferencing equipment maker reported strong profits and earnings this morning.
InterDigital is down more than -17% at $36.80. Volume is nearly 3x higher than the daily average of about 1.0 million shares traded. The wireless technology developed has shut down its “strategic review” without finding a buyer and will continue to seek additional patent sales and licensing agreements.
Zions is down about -6.5% at $17.35. Volume is already higher the daily average of 3.5 million shares traded. The bank holding company reported earnings last night that did not meet analysts’ expectations.
