Richard Parson, former CEO of Time Warner (NYSE: TWX) may leave as chairman of Citigroup (NYSE: C). He is credited with helping steer the bank through the difficulty of the credit crisis, rebuilding the board, and overseeing the early days of CEO Vikram Pandit.
It is also worth remembering that Parson was a board member before the catastrophe and should bear some of the responsibility for the bank’s actions
Regardless of his decision, Citigroup is expected to keep separate the posts of chairman and chief executive.
