New data from Gallup shows that the unemployment picture is the best it has been since September 2008. This would confirm new ADP data, and may even indicate that the deceleration in job growth economists expected in early 2012 may not materialize.
Gallup’s Job Creation Index was at +16 in January, its highest point since September 2008. This is based on 33% of workers nationwide saying their employers are hiring and 17% saying their employers are letting workers go.
