Bernanke Testimony to Senate Budget Committee

Federal Reserve Bank Chairman Ben Bernanke is testifying today in front of the Senate Budget Committee.  His speech outline’s opening remarks appear identical to his speech in front of the House Budget Committee given last week.  Some will find this a bit odd considering the newer data.  His answers may of course be different now that he has more economic data, particularly on the jobs front.

Here is the link to the FOMC meeting notes from January 25 and here is the post-FOMC decision conference link.  As you might have expected, no new information is causing no market reaction so far.  We are still in the red in stocks today and teh Dow Jones Industrial Average is down almost 20 points on teh day.
