Google Secretly Tracked iPhone User Data--WSJ

The issue of privacy among users of websites and smart devices never seems to end.  Either Facebook is collecting data to use with advertiser of large and well-known internet sites are tracking data to target content and ads. There has alwasy been a question of Google’s collection of search habits to target the text ads that make most of its money.

The Wall Street Journal said that Google created special software to gather information from Apple iPhone users, even though Apple had software which was supposed to prevent the problem

According to the paper

Google Inc. and other advertising companies have been bypassing the privacy settings of millions of people using Apple Inc.’s Web browser on their iPhones and computers—tracking the Web-browsing habits of people who intended for that kind of monitoring to be blocked.
