24/7 Wall St. has tracked several hot stocks on the move in Tuesday’s after-hours trading session. Most of the news is on earnings, but not all. Some of these stocks may change directions before Wednesday’s open. We have shown a synopsis of the news and how shares initially reacted.

FuelCell Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ: FCEL) fell over 2% in Tuesday’s regular trading session, but the stock was up over 35 at $2.35 after the close. Trading was active at almost 300,000 shares in the first hour since the close . We have not confirmed the report yet, but it appears that Cowen & Co. has assigned an Outperform rating on the stock with a $3.00 price target – once again, that report was not confirmed. Be advised, FuelCell Energy remains one of our top 7 small cap alternative energy stocks with huge upside potential.

Cree, Inc. (NASDAQ: CREE) reported adjusted earnings of $0.42 per share, but guidance for the coming quarter is $0.40 to $0.45 per share. This beat the $0.41 estimate but was shy of the $0.46 estimate for the coming quarter. Cree shares closed down almost 1% at $49.20, but the shares were down 6.4% at $46.04 in the after-hours trading session with active trading seen since the close.

JDS Uniphase Corporation (NASDAQ: JDSU) was down 0.5% ahead of earnings, and the earnings looked slightly better. The problem is that the company lowered its guidance and brought back more reminders of its past. Shares were down 4.2% at $11.41 in fairly active after-hours trading.

King Digital Entertainment plc (NYSE: KING) reported earnings of $0.59 as expected, but things went south real quick. Lower guidance is the culprit here, and it seems too soon to have a special dividend as well. King’s shares were down just over 20% at $14.50 in the after hours trading session. Some 2.5 million shares had traded in the first hour after the 4PM closing bell.

Myriad Genetics, Inc. (NASDAQ: MYGN) guided its 2015 guidance lower. It put 2015 total revenue between $800 to $820 million and adjusted diluted earnings per share of $1.90 to $2.00 – versus estimates of $2.12 EPS and $815.6 million. Myriad Genetics closed up almost 2% at $39.00 ahead of earnings, but the after-hours was down almost 6% at $36.68 and 77,000 or so shares had changed hands in the first hour since the closing bell.

QuinStreet, Inc. (NASDAQ: QNST) reported its earnings today after the market closed with revenue $67.5 million just below the estimate at $68.47 million. Earnings per share recorded a loss at $0.01 missing the estimate at $0.05. QuinStreet closed the day at $4.99 only down 1.5%. Earnings apparently had a big impact in the after-hours Quinstreet is down 9.8% at 4.50 but on a thin volume.

ViaSat, Inc. (NASDAQ: VSAT) announced its first quarter earnings Tuesday. Revenue was reported at $321.1 million which missed the Thomson Reuters estimate of $349.9 million. Earnings per share was recorded at $0.11 coming in under the estimate of $0.15. This lackluster news may have caused ViaSat to trade down 2.34% in the after-hours at $55.92.
